And
the Gala Award Goes to… !
Imagination
Entertainment won recognition from Special Events Magazine
with a Gala Award for Best Theatrical Entertainment Production.
Our entry of the Cirque de la Mer premier event at SeaWorld
San Diego received the highest honor in its category. The show
is a cirque-style extravaganza performed entirely in the water
of San Diego's Mission Bay. The award was only possible because
of the hard work of an amazingly talented cast and tireless
production team that spent most of the summer of 2001 submerged!
You
will have another opportunity to experience Cirque de la
Mer at SeaWorld this year, premiering Memorial Day
weekend with new enhancements, and running through Labor Day.

Staff
Profile: Amy Gale, Production Manager/Choreographer
Amy's
energy enthusiasm and positive outlook are contagious. Amy came
to IE a little more than a year ago, with a background of more
than two decades of dance and choreography experience. She has
produced shows at practically every theme park in North America,
and took on the challenge of orchestrating our Cirque de
la Mer show from its early conceptual stages. Amy directed
the show, dealing with such challenging elements as changing
tides in Mission Bay, wind conditions, and a multi-lingual cast
of acrobats from five countries. She made it all seem effortless.
During Cirque de la Mer's hiatus, Amy produces special
event entertainment for IE's corporate clients.

Sailing
Away
Imagination
Entertainment takes to the seas this month, producing nightly
musical theatre shows aboard the luxurious Radisson Seven Seas'
Mariner of the Seas. Aid Association for Lutherans and Lutheran
Brothers insurance organizations are holding their annual meeting
aboard the ship, and we'll entertain their guests with nightly
shows as well as custom business theatre each morning.
A
cast of ten Broadway talents will entertain during the Caribbean
cruise, in IE signature productions Song of America,
On Broadway and Songs of the Century. The logistics
of this program involve taking more than 200 costumes on board,
and having no access to the stage until several hours before
our first show. IE's production team is adept at complicated
logistics at a wide variety of performance venues, and we love
a challenge!
In
particular, our President, Sam Trego, looks forward to this
sea-going event
his early career included working on board
cruise ships as both a performer and a (singing) cruise director!
