2003 Newsletter
All of
us at IE extend our most heartfelt care and concern for victims
of the California wildfires. Here in San Diego, and elsewhere
around the state, it has been devastating to watch our foothills
and neighborhoods go up in flames. Our prayers are with the
thousands of people that have been affected by this terrible
disaster.

IE
presents Aida for Event Solutions Spotlight Awards
|
August
brought the 2003 Event Solutions Expo to San Diego, and Imagination
Entertainment played a key role in this event. Sam Trego served
as creative director of the Spotlight Awards event. We enjoyed
the privilege of delivering a performance for many of our
colleagues and giving them a taste of some of our newest show
material. Our cast of 34 combined acrobatics, Broadway-style
musical theatre, gospel, and African drumming.

Run

IE Production
Managers Brian Sharp, Amy Gale, and Rigger/Performer Steve
Gale got “down and dirty” in the infamous San
Diego “Mud Run” held at the US Marine Corps’
Camp Pendleton. The challenging 10K course includes mud holes
and obstacle courses that put even the fittest competitors
to a grueling test. Amy and Brian both finished near the top
of their groups. Here they are, basking in the glory of their
muddiness!
IE
Cast on Broadway and on Tour
Several
talented IE cast members are currently appearing in Broadway
or touring productions. Stephanie Block plays Liza Minelli
opposite Hugh Jackman in The Boy from Oz on Broadway. Deidre
Lang is currently understudy for the role of “Motormouth
Maybelle” in the first national tour of the Tony-winning
Hairspray. Elizabeth Loyacano is in rehearsals for Barry Manilow’s
production Harmony which will open in its pre-Broadway
run in Philadelphia in November. Kristoffer Cusick can be
seen on Broadway in the musical Wicked. Congratulations
to these IE veterans on their success!
